Free Initial Consultation
Make this easy for me
Working with a coach can feel like a daunting step. For some people, it can be hard to ask for help and many of us might feel like we are failing if we need help with parenting. 'Everyone else's kids seem to be ok so why are mine this hard!?' Sound familiar? You might be like I was some years back, just hoping that things will somehow get better on their own, but chances are, if they haven't got better up to now, there are likely underlying reasons and patterns of behaviour that need unpicking and understanding before long lasting change can happen.
Ok, I'll admit it, the first time I reached out for help, I had another adult make the call for me and I remain thankful to them to this day for giving me the push I needed!
I can't arrange the consultation for you but I'll make it as easy as I can.
Been there, done that.
As a Mum who has experienced extreme challenges in parenting, I am SO passionate about this work because it has transformed my family life. We have gone from daily shouting matches, school refusal, walking on eggshells and much more colourful chaos, to a loving, respectful and perfectly, imperfect family life that I now adore! I am no longer clinging to long child mental health waiting lists, desperately seeking labels and explanations and I am no longer seeing my children as problems that need to be fixed. I feel confident to support my children with whatever issues arise and I can help you to do the same.
Having an initial consultation will give you the opportunity to be seen and heard in a judgment free environment. You can share your struggles and challenges and we can discuss what might be a suitable way forward for you and your family.
are you sure its free?
Some coaches do their initial calls for free, some don't. It's work at the end of the day so I understand why some people would be going against their own values by working for free.
I always offer the first consultation for FREE for the following reasons:
1. It gives you, the client, a chance to decide if it feels like a good fit for you. Some coaches call it a 'chemistry' call because essentially, you need to sense, as much as I do, that we can work well together.
2. Investing in coaching is a big financial investment for most people. As a society, we're more familiar with the cost of kids clubs, nursery fees, spending on hobbies and holidays and rightly so, but investing in parenting, a job that doesn't automatically require financial investment, can take a more careful consideration. Therefore, there is no obligation to book any paid services after having the free consultation.
What's Involved?
Once I have received notification that you have contacted me to arrange a consultation, first, I will do a little squeal with excitement about the possibility of sharing this work with another wonderful family and then, I will get back to you as soon as I can. I'll send you some available times/days which are usually within a week of your request, and you can let me know which slot suits you. Following this, I will then send you a Zoom link (you don't need Zoom installed to be able to do the video call). At the time of your consultation, you just go onto your email on your phone or computer and click on the Zoom link. I will be waiting there to greet you! Bring a cup of tea if you like, a list of questions and a notebook perhaps and I'll sort the rest. It usually works best if you can be in a distraction free environment.
You can ask the questions you have, share your current concerns and I can let you know how we can work together to help you support your child, and achieve your parenting goals.
